Enrichment Clubs

Morning Clubs 

All of our early morning enrichment clubs for the autumn term will be led by coaches from Foundation Sports and will take place in the top hall.  All children attending morning clubs should access the school via the main school office and must be accompanied by an adult.  Children will need to wear appropriate PE kit / footwear.

Bookings for morning clubs will open on Tuesday 12th September from 5pm.

The cost for all of our morning clubs: £20 (£2 per week, 10 week run) 

Pupil Premium:  If your child is entitled to Pupil Premium all morning clubs are free of charge, please email: Enrichment Club to book your place.  All emails will be dealt with on a first come first served basis and you will be informed via email if you have a confirmed place.  If we are unable to offer you a place, your name will be added to a waiting list.

 Tuesday Dodgeball (Years 3 & 4) 

Dodgeball is very popular at Myatt Garden and many children enjoy taking part in this sport.  Dodgeball is a team game which focuses on throwing accurately, hand-eye coordination to improve catching, power, agility and understanding the dodgeball rules.  Tuesday Dodgeball starts at 08.00am

Wednesday Multi-Skills (Years 1 & 2)

Multi-skills is a fun, challenging and enjoyable starting point for children’s involvement in sport. Sessions include a wide variety of games and activities, all involving the development of skills and attributes that can be applied to a range of sports and physical activities that a child may subsequently choose to participate in.  Wednesday Multi-Skills starts at 08.15am

Thursday Dodgeball (Years 5 & 6) 

Dodgeball is very popular at Myatt Garden and many children enjoy taking part in this sport.  Dodgeball is a team game which focuses on throwing accurately, hand-eye coordination to improve catching, power, agility and understanding the dodgeball rules. Thursday Dodgeball starts at 08.00am.

Friday Football (Years 4, 5 & 6) 

Basketball is an exciting sport for young children to develop skills such as agility, alertness and endurance.  Basketball is a team sport and can give your child a physical and mental challenge whilst building their confidence and social skills.  Friday Football starts at 08.00am.

After School Clubs 

For the autumn term, our afterschool enrichment clubs will start week beginning Monday 18th September and will run for 10 weeks.

Clubs will be available to book and pay from 5pm on Wednesday 13th September.   All clubs must be paid for in advance via www.parentpay.com    For some clubs we are using external providers and where indicated bookings should be made directly with them.  

Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.  Please do not book your child a place in the club unless you are sure that they want to partake.  We are unable to offer refunds should the club be booked in error.  Once payment has been made your child's place in the club is secured.

If a club is full, you will no longer be able to view the payment on ParentPay so in that case, please email: Enrichment Club  for your child to be added to the waiting list.  

Bookings for afterschool clubs will open from Wednesday 13th September from 5pm.

Pupil Premium: If your child is entitled to Pupil Premium most of the clubs on offer will be free of charge, however, for some clubs there will be small cost. Children entitled to Pupil Premium should email: Enrichment Club detailing what club you are interested in and the name and year group of your child.   All emails will be dealt with on a first come first served basis and you will be informed via email if you have a confirmed place.  If we are unable to offer you a place, your name will be added to a waiting list.

 Art & Craft Club (Years 1, 2 & 3)

Art and Craft Club will be led by the Creation Station. Each week Creation Station will ensure that children get to paint, draw, model, sculpt, collage, cut, stick, squish, squirt, mark, make, transform laugh, imagine, think, create, experiment and make new friends.  The theme for the Autumn Term is Inspired by me.  For more information on Creation Station please see flyer.

Cost: £90 (£9 per week, 10 week run)   Monday 3.30 - 4.30pm

This club will be run externally via The Creation Station.  

Choir (Years 4, 5 & 6)

Choir will be led by Mr Bray our music specialist teacher. Children will be learning songs from various different musical genres and will have the opportunity to perform regularly throughout the year in various concerts and events.

Cost: £40 (£4 per week, 10 week run)   Monday: 3.30 - 4.30pm

Yoga Play (Years 1 & 2) 

Yoga Play will contain all the elements of yoga: poses, breathing and mindfulness.  These are explored in a playful and engaging ways through stories, adventures and props, nurturing the development of the whole child.  Yoga Play will also improve coordination, balance and focus as well as helping children to relax, concentrate and deal with stress, building a good foundation for lifelong well-being.

Spanish (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6) 

Spanish Club will be led by Viva Language Services.  This club will focus on fun, play and discovery. In every session the children participate in games, tasks and group activities – in Spanish!  All of the children are kept engaged at all times and learn without even realising it! 

Cost: £90 (£9 per week, 10 week run)   Thursday: 3.30 - 4.30pm

This club will be run by an external provider Viva Language Services.  

Zumba Club (4, 5 & 6)

 

Zumba Club will inspire children to express themselves through movement and play whilst improving their overall health and well-being. This will be a range of age-appropriate dance routines, culture reviews and the best games ensuring that the children leave fitter, wiser and - above all - happy!

These classes are all-inclusive and non-competitive.  All children are encouraged to join in and have fun, regardless of ability.
